Sainsbury's Sainsbury's 5-speed Hand Mixer

This mixer is ok
it does the job but it is quite heavy to handle, is noisy, and the mixer beaters are not easy to remove

Needed a basic hand mixer after my last one broke. It's sturdy, does what is required and in my opinion is good value for money. Nothing special but at this price it's better than you would expect.

I bought a food processor some time ago, but felt I still needed a small hand mixer that is quick and easy to use.

Well made mixer and looks nice but that's about it.
The whisks are too short - ok for small amount of mixtures but if mixing more than 3 egg + other ingredients the mixture almost reaches the bottom of the actual mixer.
Yes, it has 5 speeds but it might as well just have one. The slowest speed is so fast that it could easily be the fastest and then of course it gets faster and faster as you go through the speeds which I really can't see the point of.
I don't particularly like the way the speed switch is positioned when you have to push it away from yourself rather than across. I find the across one much easier but that's a personal preference.
All in all - rather disappointed and took it back for a full refund. Got another mixer from another on-line retailer (unfortunately one is not allowed to name other brands or retailers here) only for £3 more which has nice variety of speeds, starting with a proper slow one, longer attachments and whisk attachment as well. Oh, and an 'across' speed switch. Perfect! Sorry, Sainsbury's, but I've had better quality products from you! :(

Needed a small hand mixer with some power,compare to all the well known makes this was a bargain. Used it several times and it coped well with assorted mixture although not yet triad dough hooks.

Perfect hand mixer for last minute baking of cookies. Needed a hand mixer asap at the last minute and Sainsbury's did the job. Made delicious cookies!!! Can't wait to use it again on cakes and other yummy treats!

A good handy mixer. This is the second one that I have, one for gluten flours and one for gluten free. Sounds a bit OTT but reduces the risk of contamination of gluten free recipes.

Bought this mixer and its really good to use works really well the only problem I have is the lead is not long enough, your socket has to be really close to the mixer its such a shame as otherwise its a really good product
