Excellent for beginners

Polar are fab at making HRM and if you are new to exercise or just want to see what your heart rate is get this. It is easy to set up, you can set you lower and higher zones so you know when you are pushing yourself. It comes with a strap that you wear on your chest and the watch. Both are very comfortable when doing various exercises. It use this for P90X/Insanity and havent looked back since.

You can have this product out of the box and working within minutes. You can set the upper and lower training rates you need and for the price is excellent value

The extra cost means adaptability to most commercial gym equipment which isn't available with lesser known brands.

After purchasing the product you can give it a try within minutes, it's that simple to use.
Although basic the watch enables you to set a maximum and minumum heart rate for your run, etc. This means you can train within your ideal training zone. A very handy feature.
Really good value for money.
